Situated at Hole in the Wall on the Wild Coast, Jongamanzi (“look at the water”) is set on a hill just 100m from the beach.
One of the original “fisherman’s cottages” in the area, the property dates back to the 1940s.
Offering spectacular views of the ocean, it is commonplace to see schools of dolphins and whales in the bay.
A five-minute walk to the landmark Hole in the Wall, the area is notable for its dramatic coastline and offers excellent fishing, safe swimming, diving, surfing, cycling and hiking.
The "Hole in the Wall" is close to Coffee Bay on the sub-tropical Wild Coast in Transkei. Here you will find stunning hikes, Wild Coast splendour at its best and excellent rock and surf fishing with great shark spots like Mhlangwane -- not to mention diving, horseriding, surfing, mountain biking, windsurfing and many other recreational activities.
Here nature has created an extremely unusual rock formation -- a giant rock with a hole right through it with breakers thundering through it during high tide and into the lagoon. This rock formation has, however, become a symbol for the Xhosa of a great historical tragedy, the "Great Cattle Killing"
